About
A coffee house in Newport.
Locke Coffee is an independent traditional coffee shop at 400 York St in Newport, Kentucky. We're a 2,200-square-foot, 45-seat space built around daily coffee, careful service, and a membership model for local regulars.
The story
Locke is built by locals who wanted a daily coffee shop that felt like a third place: somewhere to read, work, meet a friend, and leave caffeinated and a little better off than when you walked in.
We chose Newport because it's home. Newport is changing quickly, but it still has the small-river-town fabric that makes a coffee shop feel like a coffee shop. We're a few blocks from Newport on the Levee and a short walk across the Purple People Bridge from downtown Cincinnati.
The coffee
Locke is a traditional shop offering a traditional menu with housemade syrups and farm fresh whole milk. Oat and macadamia milk alternatives are available.
The counter
We keep the public site focused on the shop, not an itemized list. For the latest daily details, stop by the bar or check the Locke Coffee app.
Membership
We built Locke around a simple idea: regulars should be rewarded. Members use the app to redeem eligible drinks at the shop, every visit. No punch cards, no points — just walk in, order, and go.
